It’s true! Angelo and Ziggy were introduced to each other when they attended a political fundraising banquet in 2006. After the meal, Ziggy got up and performed “Never Had A Mother” without any musical accompaniment. The song got Angelo thinking.
He approached Ziggy and floated the idea of providing backing music for Ziggy’s lyrics. And JAKing was born. Since then, the goal has been to combine issues with music. The song is performed to raise awareness. Once someone’s aware, they need some facts and they need to know how to act.
