Hold on to your eardrums! Once again, Angelo gets down and dirty with his various instruments of musical destruction.

This song was inspired by various drum loops created by the fine people at BetaMonkey Music (link below). Angelo has bought a few of their CDs filled with various loops. The beauty of BetaMonkey is that their loops are played by a REAL drummer. Using Acid Music to audition various loops and sequence them together, Angelo got his beats from BetaMonkey’s “Loud Grooves for Rock and Pop”.
For gear hounds, Angelo used his Danelectro Longhorn for the bass, thickening the tone with a BOSS OC-2. It might be hard to tell that a Strat was used for the guitar parts, since some of the parts were sweetened by the Danelectro Chicken Salad vibrato pedal, while the ducky sound came courtesy of the rare BOSS FT-2 filter pedal. The solo was tempered by a Tech 21 XXL, one of Angelo’s favorite distortion pedals (it’s the original model, not the current version).
This tune was mixed in Kristal. Nearly every instrument was treated with the Classic Compressor, produced by Kjaerhus Audio, makers of many fine plug-ins. Click on the image (left) to learn more and grab FREE VST plug-ins!
