It’s been several weeks since the young heroine known as Kinetics first appeared in our city. Elusive as always, members of the media have only been lucky to get some photos or videos of her as she fights her way against super-powered menaces that come to our city.
Strangely enough, we caught up with Kinetics is the most common of situations: a bookstore window. It was just yesterday that the collection of "The Land of the Forgotten" from acclaimed fantasy writer Howard Cook made its debut in the big Central Bookstore giant displays. The young heroine was so focused on the hand painted illustrations of the books that she was unaware of the crowd that was forming around her and gave us time to reach her before she flew away.
Between autograph requests, lots of photos and small kids tugging at her cape we asked a few questions:
Q. Why you like the books so much?
Kinetics: I haven’t read the books, but the illustrations are. Familiar
Q. From your home?
Kinetics: No.. old tales from my home, we have stories too.
Q. And where do you come from?
This question went unanswered, as the crowd was growing into the street and causing a traffic jam, Kinetics decided to leave. So, once again we’re left guessing about her origin and motivation, with only her cute accent and that she likes fantasy drawings, that at least until someone else puts something on her window that may attract her attention.
