Sinnamon Slays Psychotic Savage!
The merciless masked maniac known only as the Heartbreaker met a fitting fate last night in a brutal battle with Golden Valley’s own super-heroine Sinnamon.
Police officials have yet to release details, but they confirmed that the Heartbreaker was killed in the battle.
“We won’t be shedding any tears over him,” said one officer who wished to remain anonymous.
Those sentiments will be echoed across the city today.
Nothing is known about the identity of the masked man, nor how he got his powers. He first made his macabre mark with a series of rapes. These crimes were notable for the incredible feats of strength he displayed to frighten his victims into submission. In one especially terrifying incident, a victim had the roof of her non-convertible car torn away.
Police were taunted on a regular basis by his phone calls, some of which were made right after a rape and with the victim’s own telephone. This paper unwittingly ran classified ads allegedly placed by the man. A sick twisted sense of humor permeated all of these messages.
His crimes become more savage, often guided by the most random or criminally whimsical of motivations. The Heartbreaker would kill victims in plain sight, and then make wisecracks to shocked bystanders.
Events boiled over the last few weeks, as the Golden Valley police had a series of brutal encounters with the Heartbreaker. The cost in manpower was high, but it is thought these actions caused the Heartbreaker to become ever more reckless. Experts claim that his physical appearance had deteriorated markedly by the time of his final battle.
Police cordoned off the area before reporters arrived, but it appears the final battleground was an alley way. Witnesses drawn to the scene claim Sinnamon's costume was in tatters and that the heroine appeared dazed as she flew off. Her flight was erratic, with a nearby building's crumbled masonry serving to mark the spots where she bounced into it a few times.
Unverified reports claim there was another woman in the area. She was taken away in an ambulance. Rumors abound that she is connected to the Golden Valley Police force and not another super-powered individual.
